Change name of test student

I am a university professor and it would be useful at times to move in the course as a student that looks as if it is a real student to others in the class.  Perhaps Canvas could let us change the name of test student to a name.  I know some schools create special accounts for this but at my university I was informed this is not possible.

Sometimes all it takes is to have one student provide a meaningful Discussion post to prompt other students in the same direction. If instructors have the ability to change the name of Test Student to appear to be actual student  then the instructor could make a post that would help stimulate the discussion.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
