A week beginning on Sun and ending on Sat is not helpful because that does not work in practice, where almost everyone conforms to the Mon-Sun week. Does it not make sense to change the default setting to Mon-Sun?
Hi, @tushar_shah , we've opened this idea for voting, but here's some food for thought: Canvas is used around the world, and while many (perhaps most) countries observe a Monday to Friday workweek, that is not universally the case: many countries observe a Sunday to Thursday or even Monday to Thursday working week (per Wikipedia). So perhaps imposing a default might not be the best approach.
Thanks Stefanie. So, essentially, there are probably just 2 variations of the whole week – Sun to Sat or Mon to Sun. I believe there might be very few countries which consider a Sun to Sat work week, with majority of them being Mon to Sun. The working days may vary from 4 in a handful of countries to 6 in few countries. Maybe rather than hard-coding, a customizable option can be offered, just like you have on Microsoft Calendars!?
As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
