@ebwstitt That's a different idea that is currently the topic of conversation at One-on-one chat function. Many teachers use the Conferences tool to schedule one-on-one chats with a student.
Thank you for the idea. But we don't have access to conferences and the big blue button, because we use WebEx. Soon we will be going hybrid with the students in the class, not on WebEx. One of the great things that came out of this bit of craziness, is that many students will ask questions in private chat when in person they are embarrassed to ask. I'm trying to find something to replace the webex chat, which has the ability for the teacher to control permissions, like who can privately chat to whom.
As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
