Clear Announcements from Home Page

I have my Canvas Home Page set up to display 3 recent announcements at the top. However, often the timeliness of the announcement has passed before I have a new one to post. I would love to be able to clear these from the home page without deleting them. For example, an "x" next to the announcement similar to the "x" on the to-do list to clear or hide assignments. 

As an example, I sent an announcement reminding students of Monday's writing conferences, but now it is Thursday. I don't want to delete the announcement because it had information in there that they might need later, but I no longer want it on the home page feed. 

Would love to see this option!

This is a great idea. I have many teachers in my building who would find this option useful!

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
