Common file repository

I teach several sections of the same course. Whenever I make a change or add a new file or video, I have to go to each section one by one, upload the files and update the module, etc. 

Is it possible to have one common file repository for sections like this? As you know we cannot even copy and paste the contents from one section to another since the files between two sections cannot be shared, or we can share and we don't know how.

Thank you for your suggestion Stefanie, but this is EVEN LONGER and MORE TEDIOUS than uploading the files to different sections of the course one by one. I am afraid this is NOT a solution to alleviate the pain.
