Cross-listed sections with own terms

We have MS and HS students in the same course, but different sections. Rather than having the teacher maintain separate courses, we have them cross-listed together. Our MS students have quarters, but HS students do not. So HS students do not have an accurate picture of their grades if the course is using a term with quarters, but MS students don't have an accurate picture if the course uses a term with semesters. It would be nice if each SECTION could have its own term, so students could see their grades accurately and teachers could avoid the work of maintaining multiple courses.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
