Customization

Canvas should really be more customizable for everyone like maybe letting us make our own background, or letting us customize the different dashboard class icons, because looking at the same boring screen all day is boring.

Thank you for taking the time to share an Idea with the Instructure Community!

The theme that you see in Canvas is set by your school. I understand the appeal of being able to customize the space you spend so much time in every day, but the unified feel has a lot of advantages.

I don't see Canvas allowing individual users the ability to change out Icons as our how-to guides and Canvas Support all rely on the same visual language for navigation and help.

If you're using a browser to access Canvas, sometimes you are able to apply different themes or skins. While not Canvas, it does liven up your screen a little.
