Disappearing video - for 'once off' viewing

Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a setting that enables a video, which is embedded into a Canvas page, to appear once only or give the users the choice not see it again by clicking a "Don't show me this again". 

This could be used for video content which only needs to viewed once, such as a course introduction from the instructor or an important announcement from a principal / head teacher. 

The purpose of the disappearing function would be to aide visual design of a Canvas page and free up valuable "screen real estate" for more permanent content. 

Obviously the publisher of the video would be able to chose whether or not to make the video a once off or not by choosing a setting to enable it.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
