I would like to be able to change the calendar that an event or assignment is assigned to without having to recreate the assignment or event.

Archive: An archived Feature Idea is not dead forever, but it has been taken out of stage progression.  When Community members submit feature ideas they are reviewed by the Community Team and then put to a vote by the community at large.  If the idea does not receive 100 votes within 3 months it will be archived.  Ideas that reach the 100 vote threshold within the first three months remain open for voting. Can archived ideas still become a feature?  Yes.  Some feature ideas that do not receive 100 votes are resubmitted by Community members and find more supporters as people's needs change, rising more quickly to the top.  Oftentimes archived feature ideas are evaluated in groups when we are preparing to refactor a particular tool or feature of Canvas and may still influence product direction.

As our new school year has started, this is a huge request/question from our faculty!  Please bring this back for voting and consideration!

I agree that this is very important!  We have had several faculty accidentally add events to their personal calendar rather than the course calendar.  There needs to be a field in the "Edit Event" dialog box that allows you to edit and choose another calendar.  Now the faculty have to start all over to add the events to a different calendar.

PLEASE make this happen.  We thought we had an original idea for this at my school after someone mistakenly made 2 months of events for the wrong calendar!  There was no way to change the events and move them into the other calendar.  This is a HUGE NEED!  Canvas is to help us save time, not waste it (even if it was our own fault, the mistake should be able to be fixed without starting over).

We too have seen this problem and we have been able to resubmit this idea.  Voting is now open until Wed 5 Oct.  So please come and vote.
