We are using the Turnitin similarity integration in Canvas (Canvas plagiarism framework). Currently it’s not possible to do the plagiarism check for zip files submitted in a Canvas assignment. The scenario for checking zip files could be like this:

  1. Students submits a zipfile.
  2. Zip file is extracted by the plagiarism framework, each individual file in zip is checked, and for each file a percentage is calculated and a report is created.
  3. In the Canvas gradebook, the colour of the similarity 'flag' is based on the highest similarity score.
  4. In Speedgrader, all the individual file names are shown, with their similarity scores that link to the reports.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
