Excusing assignments that were assigned prior to enrollment

I would love to be able to add students into the course and automatically be excused for assignments that were assigned prior to their start. This takes up a huge amount of time for my staff which we dont have. Our students become overwhelmed because they think they have all of these assignments due. Moving forward we will need to use sections but we have transfer students all the time that join us in the middle of courses.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
