Expand text box in Chat page

In the Chat function in Canvas (bottom option on the left hand menu), I can review all the entries and can enter my thoughts in the text box at the bottom.  Unfortunately, the text box isn't expandable, as it often is on many sites.  Consequently, I may enter a paragraph worth of comments, but can only see the last six or seven words or so.  There's no chance to edit or revise my thoughts before clicking "send."  

Please consider making the text box for replies expandable.

This would be a good feature to improve the accessibility of the chat. It is quite difficult to proof read what you typed with the current layout.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
