Faculty Journal Entry Option When Using Grade book Messaging

Would be beneficial when messaging students from the grade book, to allow the option to add the message as a faculty journal entry.

the below is from Canvas people tab then three dots and student activity. below that is the que from canvas messaging that allows the instructor to add the message as a faculty journal. would like the same ability to add as journal from grade book messaging as from in canvas inbox/compose message.

I think this would be a great idea! We message students via the grade book when they have missing or late assignment submissions, so it would be good to be able to keep track of those messages in the faculty journal also.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
