For Instructors; Show Assignment Submissions List with Date Last Submission

It would be very helpful if teachers could see a list (under each assignment) of submissions that had been made, including student name, date and time of submission.

Currently you can sort the students in SpeedGrader by who has or hasn't submitted the assignment.  This gets you a list of all who have submitted.  Does this address your needs?

Thanks for posting this response. I was not aware that you had the option to sort students this way in SpeedGrader, so that is helpful to know. But the legacy system we are phasing out provides a chart for each assignment that displays a list of submissions by student/student ID/date and time of submission. It is a nice way to quickly see all of that information.

Hi Emily,

I can see where that would be helpful.  Are you imagining an option to generate a report for each assignment - maybe similar to a gradebook export but just for the one assignment and showing student names and the date of their latest submission?

In our legacy system, as instructors or admins, we automatically see a table display when we click on an assignment. Students will not see this. But we see a table that shows submissions, date/time and student who submitted (see below):

Ah Angel... definitely some cool features/tools! We transitioned from Angel to Canvas in 2012 and while there are some things we miss, overall our faculty and students really like Canvas!
