GIFs and Videos as assignment comments and rubric criteria

The ability to add GIFs and videos to either assignment comments and/or rubric criteria would help to further detail what a students needs to do to be successful. GIFs could also be used to encourage work done so far (like a high fiving GIF) and it would be amazing to add supportive videos that might reteach a concept (like adding in a Khan academy video as a comment so they can watch it to remediate). As education becomes more digital, having the flexibility for robust feedback will not only engage the learners further but will also allow for variety of contact from faculty to student.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
