Grading - Add plus/minus functionality (NGN NCLEX)

Interested in grading functionality that allows for (+/-) scoring for which students lose points for selecting incorrect information.

The updated NCLEX will used this scoring and it would be great if same scoring could be done in Canvas.

The ability to assign different point values to answer choices is available in New Quizzes:  How do I create a Multiple Choice question in New ... - Instructure Community. You'll see the setting under Varying Points by Answer.

If you're not yet using New Quizzes, and you don't see the option to enable it in the Settings | Feature Options area of your course(s), please reach out to your school's Canvas admin. They'll be able to help you!

If you're currently working in New Quizzes and you'd like to develop this idea further (perhaps to be a setting for the entire Quiz), let the Community know!

I'm returning to this idea! I hope that the lessons for New Quizzes have been helpful. Will this allow you to create the quiz in the style you'd like?

If you are unable to provide an update regarding this idea by March 21, we will need to archive it to help the Community Team focus on current Ideas. If you need more time, that's okay too! Providing an update before that time would be helpful and appreciated.
