Have "To Do" Calendar Items Pull to External Calendar

I often add specific course pages to students' "to do" lists, informing them that they need to view/complete the content on that page by a specific date.  These "to do" list items appear in the course calendar on Canvas.

When I subscribe to the course calendar using an external calendar application (such as Apple's Calendar), the "to do" calendar items are not included in that subscription (they do not appear in the external calendar).

Is it possible to make it such that "to do" calendar items appear in/are pulled to external calendars?

The calendar export feature works well integrating with calendar applications, however it would be much more valuable if page dates were included in the export. Adding "To-do" dates to pages adds the page to the course calendar and calendar view in Canvas, however these dates do not display after you export the calendar to google calendar/outlook/etc..

The ability to add dates to pages is great, and can be useful in many situations. Faculty at our institution use this to indicate the specific class session times, and some also use the page dates to help pace students through the content that is made available in a page. Unfortunately, the practice of using due dates on pages cannot be widely adopted because of this missing functionality in calendar export. We hear many complaints from students who think something is broken or they made a mistake in exporting their calendar, when really the functionality is missing.
