Import Content History: Who Did It and What Was Imported

Each semester our team imports existing content from a past course site to the new site if an instructor requests it. Instructors and teaching staff can also do their own imports. Sometimes errors are made. External tools get imported over when they shouldn't. Also, especially with the migration to New quizzes, sometimes there are issues with access to item banks, question groups, or conversions from Classic Quizzes to New quizzes.

In troubleshooting these issues it would be very helpful for us to see the name of the user who did the import and the details regarding which items they imported over. Currently we only see the date and the course the content was imported from.

Comments from Instructure

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
