Include Missing Assignments and Late Policies in course exports/imports.
Please read the last paragraph of the blue section in How do I select a grade posting policy for a cours... - Canvas Community which explains how to copy the settings during the course copy or import/export process. Does this address the request?
Importing all content from a course with established missing/late policies does not import said missing/late policies...at least not for me.

( 2s ) Taylor W: Hi ! How can I help you today?( 1m 4s ) Visitor: Hi. I use late policies. When I export a course and then import it, it does not include the late polices. Is this expected? What else is not included in course exports/imports? Thanks( 3m 25s ) Taylor W: So in this case this is the intended behavior, that setting does not copy over. The only other setting that would not copy over, would be the missing submission policy.
@howardh1 Please provide the case number for your chat interaction; before we move this idea forward, I'd like to run it by the support supervisor. (If you don't have a case number yet, you should soon receive a follow-up email that provides it.) Thanks!
Thank you for your help.
Your Canvas Support case 07085461 has been set to a "solved" status. If you'd like to reopen this case, please reply to this email message. As a reminder, the subject line on this case was: Late Policies Not Included in Course Export/Import?
The support supervisor pointed out my misunderstanding: the documentation specifically references post policies, but not missing/late policies, and those are not included in the course export. In other words, our support agent advised you correctly.
We've opened this idea for further discussion. Thanks for bearing with me!
It is not a big deal to re-apply the missing/late policies, but it is also easily forgotten. I am curious to know why those policies were left out of the export/import settings.
Thanks for your help!
@howardh1 Correctly importing settings matters when you set up courses for other faculty to import ant teach. Another setting that does not import is the lockdown browser requirement for new quizzes.
I would like to reiterate @howardh1 's comments. It is odd that "Late and Missing Policies", not to be confused with "Grade Posting Policies", do not copy from one course to the next. To my knowledge, this is the only important content that does not copy when importing into a new course.
Can anyone explain why not copying these Late Policies is purposeful on Canvas' part? If not, then having Late Policies copy from one course to the next would be a valuable improvement.
