Importing all content from a course with established missing/late policies does not import said missing/late policies...at least not for me.

The support supervisor pointed out my misunderstanding: the documentation specifically references post policies, but not missing/late policies, and those are not included in the course export. In other words, our support agent advised you correctly.

It is not a big deal to re-apply the missing/late policies, but it is also easily forgotten. I am curious to know why those policies were left out of the export/import settings.
@howardh1 Correctly importing settings matters when you set up courses for other faculty to import ant teach. Another setting that does not import is the lockdown browser requirement for new quizzes.
I would like to reiterate @howardh1 's comments. It is odd that "Late and Missing Policies", not to be confused with "Grade Posting Policies", do not copy from one course to the next. To my knowledge, this is the only important content that does not copy when importing into a new course.
Can anyone explain why not copying these Late Policies is purposeful on Canvas' part? If not, then having Late Policies copy from one course to the next would be a valuable improvement.
As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
