Last Name, First Name listings in People and Inbox

It would be useful to have student listings displayed by Last Name, First Name.  Canvas currently only lets us do that within Canvas Gradebook.  Listing students by Last Name, First Name is pretty much standard in other platforms such as Power School and Edmentum and other platforms used by schools.  Not having that ability really causes undue eyestrain and hardship for Teachers when trying to find students cross listed in multiple platforms at the same time using dual monitors or dual windows while trying to obtain the necessary information to communicate.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
