Make Canvas status a Statuspage third-party component

Our school just started using Atlassian's Statuspage to let our community know the status of various applications and systems we rely on. Using the third-party components feature, we are able to automatically show the statuses of Google apps, Zoom, and other products we're using. Unfortunately, Canvas is not an option, so for now, we'll have to manually update Canvas' status for our community.

That being said, I see that Instructure uses Statuspage for https://status.instructure.com, and should therefore be able to work with with Atlassian to make Canvas a third-party component we can use, which would be incredibly helpful!

More information available at the bottom of this page: https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/add-a-third-party-component/

Thanks for your consideration!

This would be incredibly helpful. Many of the other services our district uses tie into Atlassian's statuspage.io system which can generate timely emails when an incident is unfolding. These have become mission critical to our in-person and remote support teams.

A few services that we use which report indigents through this system are:

-Pearson

-Savvas (Realize)

-Nearpod

-Trello

-Lanschool Air

-Clever

Canvas is really the only other major system we don't get updates on through statuspage.io and we aren't able to react with the same level of agility as a result.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
