Make 'Display Name' visible inside course 'People' area and 'Attendance' area

Hi

It's hard for the lecturers to identify the students who have set their 'Display Name' to something very different from their real name.

Currently the teacher has to click on each student in the 'People' area inside the course one by one to see their Display name at the right panel. This is very time consuming.

A column should be added inside the Course > People area for the 'Display Name' instead so the teacher would be able to see the real name and the 'Display Name' for all the students in a single page.

The 'Attendance' area inside the course doesn't show the 'Display Name' either. This makes the lecturer to open multiple tabs and jump from People page to attendance page which is annoying.

All these hassles can be eliminated by just adding the 'Display Name' to the 'People' area and the Attendance area inside courses.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
