More ways to notify users to confirm their email address

There is a known issue whereby a person cannot be invited to a course via email address if they have not confirmed their email address. However, if their account was originally created manually and the box was unchecked, "Email user about this account creation," then they would have received no email from Canvas and would have no way of knowing that their email needed to be verified - unless they stumble upon their account settings once they log in.

I would like to see a dashboard banner for the user, so they have a prominent visual indicating that they need to take action to verify their email address or certain features will not work.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
