Mute Individual Messages/Conversations

I'd like to suggest the ability to mute individual conversations within the inbox, even if it's an admin-only feature. I am a technology admin for my district, and at the elementary level, we have a few disruptive students that will message their teachers throughout the entire day, even long after the school day is over, with no real purpose but to bother them. We are in-person and these students are as well. These students don't ask for help or have questions, they purely just want to talk, which is not the teachers' responsibility outside of school. Of course, the teachers can turn off notifications for messages, but that then no longer notifies them when a student that actually has a question messages them for help.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
