New Quizzes: Partial Credit for Matching Questions

In new quizzes, there needs to be the ability to award partial credit for matching questions. At the current moment, it is either all or nothing. I know you can "fudge" points at the end, but we need the ability to make each matching item worth points.

Matching questions include the option to select partial credit, similar to the Multiple Answer questions. Partial credit is the default option for this question type. This change allows instructors to award partial points for partially correct matching questions through auto grading.

We need it for Categorization questions too.

What about categorization questions? Or ordering questions? This is seriously ridiculous. You took the time to code which are answered correctly and which aren't, but you didn't put in the partial credit? That doesn't benefit anyone! Not the student who instead is discouraged because they earn a 0 on the question and not the instructor who then has to waste time going back to fix Canvas' mistake. We've been asking for this to be fixed for over 3.5 years.

There is partial credit for questions that are obviously one point each but there is none for the categorization questions. This needs to change.

PLEASE!!!!  Partial Credit for Categories, Matching, Multiple answer!  Otherwise you are torturing us and infuriating the students. HELP!

In general when updating something it is good to ADD enhancements and improvements but not take things away.

How about Canvas automatically setting 1 point for each matching item? How many of us have created a 4-item matching question and have it automatically set the score as 1 point?

How about also moving the points value to the top of the screen... its so frustrating to have to go back in if you forget to enter this at the bottom.
