New Quizzes: Using confidence scales with a question within Canvas

I want to propose adding confidence scales after each question to a quiz or an exam. I am providing an example from literature (attached page) of what a confidence scale looks like in combination with a question. The core idea is that students should be able to state their confidence scale after they complete a question.

This will help students gauge their own learning and see where the gaps in their learning are. The whole idea is the increase the amount of feedback available to the student while building self-regulation and metacognition. It will allow them to improve their learning because they can see for themselves where they stand and which areas need more work. It helps them to know if they answered a question correctly with high confidence vs a question wrong with high confidence etc. It ties back to the whole concious incompetance vs unconscious incompetence idea.
