New Rich Content Editor: Search Function Needed in Course Links Menu

When providing a link to an assignment, quiz, discussion, or page, a search function is needed so that one does not have to scroll + load more + scroll + load more... to locate and link the desired assignment, quiz, discussion, or page.

Followers of this thread might be interested in the new RCE search features summarized in the Canvas Deploy Notes (2020-12-02) - Canvas Community:

The All Files section in each sidebar includes a search field. This change allows users to more easily search for files when viewing the entire files structure.

The Course Link sidebar includes a search field. This change allows users to more easily search for course links.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
