New quizzes: insert media

Would it be possible for the insert media allow the user to take a picture (or video) without needing to leave the quiz? For example, when taking a math quiz, it would be nice if students could complete work on paper, take a picture (or video) of their work, and insert the image (or video) as their answer without having to have the media already on their device or leave the quiz to get the media on their device.

I agree. It would also be really nice to have the picture upload ability in Matching and Ordering to make it more accessible to non-readers, young children (PreK-2), and learning disabled students.

We are currently working on integrating our new RCE to New Quizzes which will solve your problem. You can follow that conversation for future updates.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
