Notifications

Students should be able to receive notifications to their mobile device when assignment due dates have arrived or when the assignment has limited time left to complete (e.g. "This assignment will close in 24 hours", or "This assignment is due in 24 hours"). Students should be able to customize which notifications they want to receive, and how the notifications will appear on their device as with any other mobile app. This would greatly help students remember deadlines and keep them from missing assignments which are only made available briefly.

To build onto this post, I would like to point out that younger students are very adapted to mobile apps relative to their efficiency and organization. The ability to customize notifications would help students stay organized and "in the loop" in their courses throughout each day.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
