Option to Hide Canvas Rubrics From Students While Using Them

The Rubric Tool in Canvas does not have the flexibility for instructors to share a grading rubric with the TAs while hiding the rubric from students. Currently, the Rubric Tool cannot be hidden from students. However, a rubric that is only visible to instructors and TAs/Graders will allow for a similar grading standard and still allow students to have full freedom on how to choose to work on their assignment.

Thanks for sharing this idea, @canhelp . Rubrics have multiple purposes; while one is to create a consistent grading standard among multiple graders, another equally important one is to give students clear guidance on the requirements for successful completion of the assignment. Accordingly, and in keeping with student-centered learning, we wouldn't develop functionality that allows rubrics to be hidden from students.

For graders who view rubrics as more of a grading form, we have a different idea open for discussion. Please add your comments to  Grading key for assignments which, if implemented, would satisfy the problem statement you've posed.
