Option to set or turn off shuffle answers at question level in a quiz

This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas

Currently when you create a quiz there is the option to shuffle answers within each question on the quiz. This is great and I love the feature; however, if you have questions with answers where one option is all of the above or A and B are correct, the shuffle answers option is hindrance. These types of questions will not make sense to the student if the shuffle answer setting is turned on in the quiz. It would be nice to be able to set this option at the question level or at least have the ability to override the setting for individual questions in a quiz.

This is also really important for questions that have a logical reason for the responses to be in a certain order (such as numbers answers sorted from lowest to highest). Often these types of questions are mixed in with others that you do want randomized so it really does need to be at the individual question level and not a quiz setting level.

Shuffling is especially confusing for "True/False" questions where students usually expect the choices to always be in the same order. It would be nice if we could have blocks in which answer shuffling could be activated.

Another version of this idea has resurfaced and will be open for vote on April 6:

Consider this an up-vote. We just made the switch to Canvas and our older, more dated system accommodated instructor preference to shuffle at the question level. Why would you force an instructor to choose between shuffle for all or for zero questions? It would be nice to have that the option to shuffle answers for all questions but it should simply be an option.

@cohenf , welcome to Canvas! Please have a look at Canvas Studio: Modern Quizzing Engine; although I don't know precisely what features will be included in the soon-to-be-unveiled quiz refactor, I know that shuffling answer choices at the question level is one of the popular ones.
