Please add a "recurring event" calandar option for Observers.

Many parents/guardians (Observers) of Canvas Students now find themselves having to share various internet devices, but both parties tend to have respectively fixed schedules when they need access to specific devices. For example, if an Observer works remotely or attends college courses online via Zoom, they will most likely have a non-negotiable schedule by which they must abide. Being able to quickly and easily add and edit recurring events will create clear time priorities, boost productivity, and reduce potential scheduling conflicts between Observers and Students.

Thanks for sharing this idea. The ability to create events on the Calendar is a role permission that the local Canvas admin can enable for the Observer role should they deem it in their organization's best interests to do so. Would you please reach out to the local Canvas admin for your district to ask whether they would be willing to enable this permission for the Observer role?
