Possibility of Removing "Drop the Course " Button

Students usually have the possibility to self-enroll in non-required courses via the public course index. Once they have enrolled in a course, they can drop the course via the "Drop this Course" button on the right side of the course page. Although it makes sense that students have the option to drop a course they self-enrolled in, they should not be able to do so after the enrollment deadline has passed. Is there a way to remove the "Drop this Course" button after a certain date? This feature could help improve the administration of student enrollment immensely.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
