Quarter/Term Averaging

In our SIS, the quarter (term) average is rounded to a whole number.  In Canvas it is rounded to one decimal point.  When you start averaging multiple quarters (terms) the average in the SIS is different from the average in Canvas.  The SIS is the "official" record, but confusion is created when the students/families are using Canvas daily and only checking the SIS at the end of the grading period (quarter, semester, etc.).  I am the district administrator for Canvas and I am hearing these concerns from parents, teachers, students and building administrators.  With all of the options in Canvas there must be a way to allow the district the option to calculate term averages out to a certain decimal point.  Thank you for consideration

kind of an alternative suggestion  since i like this idea- allow instructors to choose how many decimals (0%, 0.0%, 0.00%, 0.000%)
