Rate Limit Number of Submitted Assignments

Hi Canvas Community! The situation I'm encountering is this: we have advanced, but relatively short, assignments that require a lot of knowledge & reading to answer, and we don't want students rushing through the course with a flurry of attempts. Of course, because this is a self-paced course, they like to go as fast as possible. However, it does not work with our course structure.

The way our lecturers have used other systems in the past is to only allow a student to submit two assignments of his or her choice every week. The course could have 10 or 20 or 30 assignments total, and as such, the minimum amount of time to complete the course would be 5, 10, or 15 weeks.

Is there already a creative way to accomplish this in Canvas Catalog? Or would this be a brand new feature? Eagerly awaiting any responses & thoughts on this topic!

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
