Replace Canvas Green Checkmarks with an Eyeball Icon

USER SCENARIO:

Learner navigates to their multi-module course (the HOME page not their GRADES page) and sees a list of all their assignments inside the course.  For each assignment page they accessed, a GREEN CHECKMARK is visible (which means COMPLETED according to the hover over text that is displayed).

PROBLEM:

Learners confuse this GREEN CHECKMARK to mean that they have actually completed their assignment.  This is not a problem for single assignment courses since it is obvious to the learner that it is not completed, but for multiple assignments, completed across multiple days, it can be confusing.

SOLUTION:

The entire HOME tab needs a makeover, but a quick fix is to replace the GREEN CHECKMARK with an EYEBALL to indicate what it actually means; that they looked at their assignment, but did not complete it.

@MichaelSewell  Thanks for sharing this feedback. Is the Home page of the course set to display the modules list? If so, what are the completion requirements set on the contents of the module itself? It appears that the module is set to Complete All Items, yet if the assignment requirement is "View the item," the green check mark will display to the student. Changing the requirement to "Submit the assignment" means that the student will not see the green check mark until they submit the assignment.

Would you check the modules and let us know?
