Issue: Submission of assignment marked "LATE" when UI displays to student it was submitted on time. Based on rubric, students' grades are severely impacted up to not counted at all.

After reading through How do I create a new idea conversation in the Canvas Community?, would you please edit the idea to include a paragraph at the top that summarizes the request? While the copy-pasted support discussion may ultimately prove helpful in resolving the issue, it does not guide our members toward a clear understanding of the issue—and our members only have access to their own courses and accounts and so cannot access the course to which you've linked in order to view any details or context.

If I understand correctly, the issue is: (1) a submission was marked late when it was timestamped between 11:59:00 and 00:00:00, with a submission time set for 11:59:00, which is intended behavior; and (2) there may be a UI discrepancy on the student side. If that is the case, has the student submitted a support ticket of their own?

Also, we wanted to let you know that we redacted the image you provided since it displayed the student's full name and grade, which is a violation of their privacy; we also redacted their last name from the text. Keep in mind that this forum is publicly visible to anyone across the web.

You can edit the idea by selecting Edit Idea from the three-vertical-dot menu at the upper right of the page.
