Search Announcements should search the actual content of the announcements

A professor reported that the Search features in Announcements was not working when they were trying to Search the Announcements for something in the Announcement posts.  All it does it search the Announcement Titles and not the content of the announcements.  Having it actually be able to search the content too would make it much more useful.

Agreed! The need for searching announcement titles AND content seems obvious. However, I'm sad to learn from another suggestion list (about giving announcements a start AND end date and a PUBLISH or UNPUBLISH option) that these suggestions can go on for years without resolution from Canvas (2015 to present day for the aforementioned ideas that had literally hundreds of votes).

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
