I think it would be great to have a system of managing dates to make copying courses semester to semester. But in the meantime, some shortcut codes for commonly used dates would make the process faster.
For example, I use the same syllabus every semester for a particular course. However when I copy the course I have to edit the syllabus to change any references to dates. There are also due instructions for weekly due days, etc. It would be great if we had a place in settings for some useful dates like [Semester]: "Fall, 2017" Or [lastDateToWithdraw]: "October 10, 2017" or [weeklyDueDay]: "Monday".
I would only have to update those dates in the settings and they could automagically populate anywhere in the course I use the [code].
