Show all question details in quiz and question bank

This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas

Idea will be open for vote Wed. July 1, 2015 - Wed. October 7, 2015  Learn more about voting...

The question detail shown within a quiz and within a bank does not show all details.  Images are attached to illustrate the problem.  The first image shows the question in the editor and thus all details  The second image shows the question detail for the same question displayed within a quiz.  Note that general comments are not displayed in the detail.  The third image shows the question detail for the same question from within the quiz bank.  Note the general comments are not displayed and the correct answer is not displayed.

The user shouldn't have to edit the question to view all of the question details in a quiz or question bank.

Our instructors need to see question details for an entire exam, not just small quizzes that are 25 questions or less.  We have numerous 100 question exams and capstone exams with 250 question that we need to review.

Hi  @Renee_Carney ,

I hope you're doing well.

Was this feature ever released into production? I noticed that in Beta, we can see the Question feedback, but it doesn't appear to be the case in prod.

Thanks,

Ben

Anyone else landing here years down the road, here is how to view details for all questions despite quiz size:

  1. Open the developer tools in your browser (in Chrome this can be done by going to "View" -> "Developer" -> "Developer Tools").
  2. Click the small arrow that is at a 45 degree angle inside a square at the top left of the developer tools drawer (this puts you into element select mode).
  3. Now, on the actual web page, click the checkbox next to "Show Question Details". This will pull up the HTML for that particular part of the webpage.
  4. Click inside the HTML code and delete the part that says disabled="disabled"
  5. Close the developer tools and click inside the checkbox, which is no longer disabled.

It seems nuts to me that this roadblock exists for apparently no reason at all, but hopefully the above helps.

Thanks for the suggestion - It worked

Follow up - It does not solve it permanently. When you close the quiz and comes back it is still there and shows the message 'not more than 25 questions'

Agree 100%! There are a lot of things like this in Canvas!
