SpeedGrader submissions to be sorted by due date

In SpeedGrader there are multiple sort by functions on assignments including by student name, date submitted and submission status. It would be helpful to be able to sort by due date.

Some assignments have different due dates for individual students. When we allow multiple submissions before the deadline, students may submit early drafts. If their deadline is set for after the official deadline (in the example of personal extenuating circumstances) markers may unwittingly mark a draft version of an assignment. This means they will need to mark again and duplicate efforts. 

Alternatively a warning could be incorporated that the deadline for the piece of work the marker is reviewing has not yet passed.

Comments from Instructure

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
