Spell Check for Canvas Instructors

Instructors need a text editor on the instructor side of Canvas for student assignments.

I agree! Why can’t the rich text editor provide spell check in the announcements tab? I don’t like having to rely on my browser’s version. Even Bb had such a feature.

I agree that Canvas needs a native spell-checker. We use Lockdown Browser and there is also no spell-checker there. My understanding is that an LMS spell-checker will work in Lockdown Browser., which is advantageous.

I would really appreciate an automatic spellchecker on the comments area such that it automatically gives suggestions for correcting.

Agreed! Canvas needs a spell check feature, this is a basic deliverable. Please consider. 🙂

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
