Students are currently able to record their screen and record as Webcam. However, it would be beneficial if they could have access to the same or similar editing tools teachers do in Studio. Instead, videos are automatically saved; it skips the edit feature.
Yes, this would be a great improvement to Studio for students.
Another improvement to Studio would be the ability (for faculty) to EDIT uploaded videos-- I can't seem to find an active post for that, they are all closed with no solution.
With the Studio Release Notes (2022-09-26), very basic editing tools were added to the user experience. While this does not complete the request, it should be helpful to the media creation process.
As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
