Studio: Remove the YouTube "Suggested Videos" ending

We need Studio to bring in "cleaned" videos from YouTube in the same way the YouTube plug-in does for the Canvas rich content editor.

When a YouTube video is pulled into Studio for an assignment or a quiz, the video ends with YouTube suggesting (i.e. advertising) other videos to watch.

The suggested videos are not necessarily relevant or appropriate for students. Furthermore, this potentially distracts them from their assigned work. Students have plenty of other rabbit holes available to them (such as their phones) without us dangling another one right in their faces as they work.

The plugin for YouTube via the RCE uses the 'no cookie' link for the video. It seems like it should also be possible for Studio to make use of that same 'no cookie' link as well to create the collection item. The cookie-free version eliminates next video suggestions which makes for a cleaner experience for the academic resource building in Canvas.

I would love to see this happen.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
