Submit Assignment

Instead of saying "Start Assignment" on the top of an assignment page, could it go back to what it said last year, "Submit Assignment?"   When you click on the "Start Assignment" button, it's actually submitting an assignment.  Would save some confusion and explaining and reexplaining on my part.

@LindaHemauer  The change in verbiage from "Submit" to "Start" was the result of a popular feature idea in this forum; "Submit" caused considerable confusion among students, as you'll see when you read through the comments. We've moved this forward for further discussion as a request to reverse that decision.

Our product team has evaluated this idea. The decision to change the button to Start Assignment from Submit Assignment came about as the result of extensive research, and we plan to continue to use that verbiage until we roll out Assignment Enhancements to all institutions. Accordingly, we've archived this idea.

If students at your school are consistently reporting that Submit Assignment is causing confusion for them, please bring this to the attention of your local Canvas admin so they can explore customizing this language at the account level.
