View all submissions at once!

If a student submits multiple files (photos/pdfs) for one assignment then it would be good to be able to scroll through them all rather than having to click from one to the other.

Hi  @mdunbar . This seems similar enough to https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/15535-view-all-submissions-for-a-specific-assignment" modified..., which is already open for voting, that I will archive this idea as a duplicate which will help keep the voting and discussion streamlined under a single submission.

Thanks for pointing out the distinction,  @mdunbar . It sounds like your request is specific to how an assignment to which the student has uploaded multiple files in a single submission presents to the instructor in Speedgrader, and we've opened it for voting accordingly.

We'd like SpeedGrader to show the complete list of files uploaded for an assignment, on one page. We have some Instructors who have to hunt around each submission to make sure they don't miss the latest version of a file that had been uploaded earlier.

An example would be: An Instructor creates an assignment for the student to upload 3 separate Word documents to complete an assignment: a title page document, an introduction page document, and a bibliography (or page1.docx, page2.docx, page3.docx, to make it more simple).

Student A:
  - Monday, submits page1.docx.
  - Tuesday, submits page2.docx and page3.docx.
  - Wednesday, submits an updated page2.docx

The resulting SpeedGrader page shows the "Submission to view", with a time/date stamp that identifies WHEN the student uploaded files.  In this case, we would see 3 Submissions to view (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).

As the instructor of the course (which has 100 students) goes to SpeedGrader, they look at the most recent uploaded submission (Wednesday), knowing that this is the most recent upload.  The Instructor sees page2.docx had been submitted, but now has to click on each session to see what other files were uploaded in an attempt to get the latest version of each uploaded document.

If there was a view in SpeedGrader that allowed the Instructor to view the files that were uploaded, instead of the sessions, they might see something like this:

All submitted files:
  page1.docx - 1 submission:
        ➡️  version 1  Mon 3/15
  page2.docx - 2 submissions:
              version 1  Tue 3/16
        ➡️ version 2  Wed 3/17
  page3.docx - 1 submission:
        ➡️ version 1  Tue 3/16

..or something similar.  This shows the history of the files that were uploaded.

Obvious caveats here are that the files submitted by the student can be renamed differently each time, so it might be worth a warning to students to upload the same filename each time.

So, simply create a new view on the right column of the SpeedGrader that shows all submission, sorted by file.
