It would be helpful to have a flag for Absent that can be simultaneously posted with the Missing, Late, or Excused flags. It would be even more helpful if this could be synced with Synergy so that students who were absent are automatically flagged in the gradebook.

Hi @CarolynZerhusen and thanks for submitting your idea. It looks like this is related to the Attendance/Roll Call tool. In a rare exception to our usual one-idea-per-submission process, we're collecting all of the ideas requesting enhancements to the Roll Call Attendance tool under a single umbrella idea: Attendance Overhaul‌. Please add your support and comments to that idea. We've archived this one to remove the duplication and keep the conversation unified in one place.

@CarolynZerhusen  If you're referencing the Gradebook, please add your support to  Absent status . Should this new status become prioritized and developed, your school can then work with Synergy and Canvas to request the additional sync functionality.
