editable maximum value for quizzes - students select from a range of questions

It would be good if a maximum value for the complete quiz could be edited.

example:

A test is only worth 15 marks but student are given five question and told to only complete 3 question.   A marker would grade the 3 answered question and gives zero to the unanswered question.  With the total grade edited to 15 and not 25.

example

in courses such as physics, the test could be worth 60 marks but the teacher puts questions totally 70 marks  allowing students to  obtain part marks for more question.  Teacher wants to edit the total results so no one gets over 60 marks.
