expand complete / incomplete / excused options

I can opt for the grade to appear as complete / incomplete.  However, missing assignments list as incomplete.  The options should be complete / incomplete / missing / excused.  (Adding missing in the dropdowns is  an option but doesn't solve the entire issue.)  Treating incomplete and missing as the same thing is confusing to students and problematic for me when I review grades.  Please add missing to the options and develop another symbol.  Maybe X for missing and ? for incomplete?

Thanks for sharing this feedback, @NBenenati . This is already possible, as long as the instructor has enabled a missing policy in the gradebook for the course. Please read through  How do I apply a Missing Submission policy in the ...   and  How do I change the status of a submission in Spee... -  for detailed instructions. Note that "complete" and "incomplete" apply to the grade for the assignment; "excused" and "missing" apply to the status of the submission.
